Literature Text

a phalangal ticking, scrapes away the luster and shine
making up time with corrosive scrapings reaching the mind 1
idle threats and impatience run me ragged, locking me up
ramming away into a wall and yet, pushing myself back with a shove 2

In your Blessed and holy name, Amen." doubts fall away around here

as a rock climber, i crest the sheer wall without a further hindrance
before me appears a tree, i grab it and dip it in the darkness of a glance
writing the title to the end of such a journey in a heavy scripture
weighted with such menial stress, i took the high road to make sure
